A tablet used mainly for books has different size needs from one replacing a laptop. Aspect ratio changes how much page, video or split-screen content fits, while the keyboard and case can transform the final weight.
Compact tablets
Smaller screens are easier to hold one-handed and fit in more bags. They suit reading, travel and simple media use, but provide less room for drawing controls or two apps together.
Check text size at the intended distance. Resolution can keep type sharp, yet it cannot make a physically small interface comfortable if apps do not reflow well.
Large tablets
A larger canvas helps handwritten notes, artwork and side-by-side documents. It can also make video more immersive when the aspect ratio leaves fewer unused borders.
The same device becomes harder to support for long reading sessions. Add the keyboard, stand and charger when comparing weight with an actual laptop.
Accessories set the footprint
Keyboard cases vary in key spacing, lap stability and viewing angles. Some require a desk deeper than a conventional laptop because the rear stand extends behind the screen.
Verify the exact generation of pen and keyboard. Similar product names do not establish connector, charging or magnetic compatibility.
